Challenge
With no existing brand identity, we were given the creative freedom to build their entire visual and messaging framework from the ground up. Our goal was to create a brand that would stand out in a crowded market, embody a fighting spirit, and make a bold statement.
Solution
We chose to explore the world of poisonous animals, eventually centring on the scorpion as the perfect symbol. The scorpion, with its fierce and resilient nature, provided a powerful metaphor for the brand. This led to the creation of a bespoke scorpion logo that became the cornerstone of Liquor Distilled’s identity.
To complement the scorpion logo, we crafted clever and memorable strap lines. Phrases like “What’s Your Poison?“, “Dead Good Drinks”, and “Feel the Sting” play on the themes of poison and sting. These lines not only emphasise the scorpion theme but also highlight the potent kick of a good drink, engaging customers with a sense of daring and excitement.
The overall style direction we chose has a vintage feel, giving the brand a timeless quality without looking dated. This approach appeals to both traditionalists and modern enthusiasts, creating a classic yet edgy look. The scorpion logo and distinctive messaging have made a lasting impression, capturing the essence of Liquor Distilled’s ambition to break into the industry with a bang.
